HOME PRODUCTS SHIPPING FAQS ABOUT US CONTACT NEWS & EVENTS TESTIMONIALS

Q: Can I get spare parts for the Intimate Area Shaver™?
A: Yes. We are the distributor for the Intimate Area Shaver™ and Shavy Femini. Spare parts are featured on the website or please call us if you experience any problems.

Q: Can the Intimate Area Shaver™ trim long hairs?
A: No. The Intimate Area Shaver™ is designed specifically to turn stubble into silky smooth skin. You must first use a good trimmer (that is why we bundle it with the Shavy Femini) to take the long hair down to stubble then finish it off with the Intimate Area Shaver™.

Q: Do you offer any shaving tips?
A: YOU MUST SHAVE DRY! Use before you get your skin wet, as the skin swells you won't get as close a shave. For performance as advertised, you must use baby powder or talc powder applied to the shaving area. Shave in circles or against the grain like using an eraser when using the Intimate Area Shaver™. When using the Shavy Femini, hold at a 45° angle. If it pulls one way, tip it 45° in the opposite direction.

Q: Can I use the Intimate Area Shaver™ for other parts of my body?
A: You can use it anywhere you have stubble: underarms, legs, face, ears, and the entire intimate area without irritation. Keep one in your glove box and one beside your bed for a smooth face before kissing your partner.

Q. Can I use the Intimate Area Shaver™ to design the hair in my pubic area?
A: We suggest you use the Jenna Hot Trimmer for the most creativity. With 10 re-usable stencils for design, the Jenna Hot Trimmer is a very popular unit for stylizing. Alternatively, the Shavy Femini is ideal for design and creating a variety of patterns and styles.

Q: What kind of power does the Intimate Area Shaver use?
A: The Intimate Area Shaver™ uses one (1) C cell battery. Lasting a good 6-8 weeks using it every other day, this is very convenient for travelling. Many of our customers purchase more than one to keep in a handbag or in their cars.

Q: Do you offer a guarantee?
A: Yes. Customer satisfaction and service means the world to us. We warrant against any manufacturing defects and offer a 12 month warranty on the motors. Due to the intimate nature of our products, however, we cannot accept returns.

Q: Why are the Intimate Area Shavers™ DRY shavers?
A: Our range of Smoothshave products are primarily designed to be used Dry, BEFORE showering/bathing. We find the hot water from showering or bathing slightly swells the skin, hiding more of the hair follicles.

The use of baby or talcum powder allows the shavers to glide across the skin, instead of rubbing, and aids the hair to stick up on end for a closer shave.

Q: Why do you reccomend using powder on the area to be shaved?
A: The use of baby or talcum powder allows the shavers to glide across the skin, instead of rubbing and irritating the skin.

Powder also aids in standing the hair root up on end. This allows our Intimate Area Shavers to easily cut the hair, giving the best results.

Q: Can I use soaps or foams?
A: The Intimate Area Shaver is specifically designed to be used dry. The use of soaps or foams would simply clog up the cutting surface, resulting in a faulty or damaged product.

Q: The coil/spring has come loose in the cap.
A: Should the battery coil/spring be bumped loose of the cap, the Intimate Area Shaver will cease to operate. Simply insert the coil into the cap so that the small section jutting out at the base of the coil slides into the hole located in the side of the cap.

This section of the coil should then be visible through the side of the cap. When the cap is screwed into the base of the shaver correctly this section of the cap should not be visible.

Q: How do I clean my Cleancut?
A: The Cleancut should be cleaned after each use by removing the blades and foil from the Intimate Area Shaver then brushing out the cutting area.

The blades themselves may be cleaned with a damp cloth, but should be dried thoroughly afterwards.

To ensure the longevity of the Cleancut blades and foil, once a month place of drop of machine oil or sewing oil on the inside centre of the foil. Re-attach the foil to the Intimate Area Shaver and turn the unit on for a few second. This will evenly distribute the oil across the blades and foil.

Q: How do I clean my Shavy Femini?
A: To clean your Femini, simply remove the backing of the trimmer to expose the cutting blades.

Turn the two square screws so that they align with the holes below them and the blades should pop out for cleaning. This should be performed regularly as a build-up under the blades may inhibit the trimmer’s performance.

A small drop of sewing/machine oil should be placed between the two blades every month or so to ensure the longevity of the unit.

Q: Is it safe to use my credit card over the internet to buy your products?
A: Yes, it is completely safe to use credit cards to purchase products over our website. SmoothShave uses Server101’s encrypted shopping carts, which are fully security certified.

We do, however, accept alternate forms of payment for customers who do not possess or do not wish to use our credit card facilities. Alternate payment forms include: Cheques, Money Orders and Direct Deposits. These payment methods are available once you reach the payment section of the shopping cart.

Q: Are the blades replaceable?
A: Replacement blades and foils are only available for the Intimate Area Shaver. These are featured on our website under the Accessories section.

General cleaning and maintenance of the blades and foil should be performed often to assure the long life of your Intimate Area Shaver.

Should the unit be dropped, however, and the foil is damaged in anyway it should be replaced immediately. A dented foil will result in reduced performance and may cause nicks and pulling to occur or the product may cease to work.

Q: The blades do not seem to be cutting anymore.
A: The most common cause of reduced performance of your Intimate Area Shaver is due to the blades being worn down with use. The blades of the Intimate Area Shaver are, however, adjustable.

To adjust the blades simply remove the battery from the unit, then unscrew the foil at the top of the unit. Locate the small ‘jewellers’ screw located between the tri-cutting blades and turn the screw a half twist in the clockwise direction.

This will raise the blade platform slightly to ensure the Intimate Area Shaver is cutting as good as new. If the blades are raised too high, they will catch on the screen and cease to spin. Turning the screw anti-clockwise will resolve this problem.
